Sneak Peek!! Shhhh.....

WOW.  May 11th is already almost here!  Time flies!  Tomorrow is May 11th, and with it, the official premiere of my short film, Picnic Area 11.

I'm so proud and excited to show off the results of the talented individuals who were a part of the film.  From the actors to the crew to the post crew, EVERYONE did an amazing job!

AND as a little surprise to those of you who subscribe and read my blog, I am giving you an exclusive SNEAK PEEK to Picnic Area 11!!  YUP, that's right, you get to see the film NOW if you choose....but Shhhh.... mum is the word!  And hell, I added some unreleased behind the scenes photos too!  Why not, right?  Happy Friday!

Freaky Friday Foto: Biquadratic

Freaky, It's the First Friday in February!

OK, because I like to occasionally show off my smarts and help others knowledge at the same time... What's Biquadratic you ask?  And why is it in the title of this blog?
Well, simply, it's "to the fourth power."  And since today's Freaky Friday Foto is also in February....it's powered to the fourth!!   Click the word, for those craving more info about BIQUADRATIC.  Otherwise, moving along to things I know more about....

So I'm sure you most people have heard how photo shoots and filming in general is very often the opposite of what you end up seeing.  For example, the gorgeous girl in her swimsuit on the beautiful summer beach that looks so warm and comfortable, is actually freezing and trying not to shake uncontrollably since it's winter and anything but warm.  Or the guy, in heavy wool coats and layers of clothes tries to stay warm from the cold South Dakota winter, when in actuality he's in Southern California in the middle of summer battling 100 degree temperatures!  (I know that one from personally experience when I worked on the TV show Deadwood).

There are tons of examples of how an illusion is made even though the reality is very different.  Sometimes in fact, as you take beautiful pictures at sunset and you look happy and confidant you are actually being eaten alive.

This was the case with a photo shoot I did with the very talented photographer, Xue Vue.  We had a great location in Sacramento, CA.  On a warm summer day.  Near a river.  At sunset.  Beautiful for a photo shoot.  Also, perfect time for mosquitoes to grab dinner. 
During the shoot, I of course felt them, but only after Xue sent me this photo did I realize how many of them were getting me!  I love this photo, I love that you can LITERALLY see them on me and flying around.  So I thought I would share for today's FFF blog.
Ah the magic of photo shoots!!

Winter. Is. Here. 2012 HOLIDAY IMAGE REVEALED

FFF: Holiday Edition! NEW Teaser for Holiday Image!

Freaky Friday Foto: Daniel Bedingfield

Alright, well today is Friday (still, even though I'm updating a little late) and for this edition of F.F.F. I figured I would talk about someone other then myself!
Hey, there are no rules that say I have to always update about my life and career.  Sometimes it's nice to chat about things that inspire me or what others are accomplishing!  So here we go .....

I have been a fan of Daniel Bedingfield for awhile now and this new video of his completely rocks!!  It's dynamic, freaky and totally works for the song but it most importantly accomplishes that rare feat of being fairly original.  While there is clearly a sexual energy to it, and GASP, some nudity (be warned!) there is still an awkwardness and clumsiness to it that totally works.  It sets itself up like an analogy for love and relationships.  Intense at times, awkward and weird at other times, but always moving and changing.  The video inspires me and is a great accomplishment for music videos in my opinion.  Especially nowadays when it seems like everything has been done, and we are jaded and have limited attention spans.  Most artists do music videos now for purely economic reasons (i.e. Advertising) and not creative ones.  It's nice to see an artist, being an artist and doing it with an amazing tool like the nearly extinct music video!

Freaky Friday Foto (Video Edition)

So for this Friday edition I figured I'd share a seasonally appropriate video clip I did recently.  The clip is an election ad for a "Monster Election" between Dracula and some other well known Ghouls.  With our Presidential election just around the corner and Halloween next week, I figured there wasn't a more appropriate time to share!

Freaky Friday Foto!!

So it's Friday (TGIF!), and it's the month of Halloween (eeewww!) and Freaky Friday Foto (or as I like to call it F.F.F) just sounds so cool.  So, I thought, why not share a FOTO!  And that's what I'm going to do......
